The Tale of Peter Rabbit

Once upon a time there were four little Rabbits, and their names were—
Flopsy,
Mopsy,
Cotton-tail,
and Peter.

So begins Beatrix Potter’s classic story of Peter Rabbit, a mischievous rabbit living with his mom and three sisters under the root of a fir-tree. When Mrs. Rabbit warns her children to stay out of Mr. McGregor’s vegetable garden, Peter decides to take his chances. But after Mr. McGregor finds Peter and chases him out, Peter must ask for help to get back home safely.
